snickerdoodles
given to me by my mother in law.
3/4 c. shortening
3/4 c. butter
2 eggs
1 c. sugar
2 1/2-3 1/2 c. flour
2 tsp. cream of tarter
1 tsp. baking soda
dash of salt
1 tsp. vanilla
cream together the shortening and butter until fluffy and smooth. add sugar. mix well. blend in eggs. add the vanilla. mix together all the dry ingredients. add to creamed mixture. (if more flour is needed add now)
roll into balls and dip into a cinnamon and sugar mixture. bake at 375 for 10 minutes. (i like my cookies really soft so i bake mine for about 9 minutes)
i made these last night and this is the best snickerdoodle recipe i've come across. they turned out really good.
okay happy recipes.

OH YUM! I love Snickerdoodles!
Thanks so much for the comment! We really had a fun time with my family. They're pretty neat people! An Idea for the blocks..on the back side of them you can put like family (I put family and a star) then you can just turn it around all year! It's pretty neat.
