summa vacation.

so we had a wedding to go to this last weekend in portland, so we turned it into a summer vacation.

first stop.  LINCOLN CITY!  did we gamble at the casinos?  no we did not.  but we did do some other fun stuff.  first we ate at MO's.  and yes we ate their famous CHOWDER.  it was amazing. 
next stop.  the "LOCEAN!"  we went to a great beach where a company was flying these crazy big kites.  the boys loved them.  the weather was sunny and nice.  a bit windy and very cold water, but we really enjoyed it.

we took a quick break from the "LOCEAN" and went to the outlets.  (which by the way if you're going to the oregon coast, i suggest LINCOLN CITY for the outlets.  they are awesome!) 

then we headed to mcminville.  that's where we stayed the next day.  we went to my cousin emily's wedding on saturday.  so to use up the time we swam, ate chicken nuggets, went to the evergreen aviation museum, and had running races in the hotel hallways!

on saturday we went to the wedding.  that was fun to see all the cousins.  emily looked beautiful.  the weather was great.  the food was excellent.  and the company even better.

on sunday we went to aunt carmela and bristols house.  that's where we stayed the rest of our trip.  sunday we just hung out and ate.  it was fun to let the boys play.  and aunt carmelas new house is just beautiful. 

on monday we took the boys to the zoo.  they loved it.  we got to see a lot of great animals.  vince said his favorite animal to see was the ZEBRA.  at the giraffes he freaked out.  he totally was climbing the wall and yelling, "i wanna ride the giraffe"  "please dad, i wanna ride the giraffe."  we quickly ventured away from the giraffes before we had a little boy jumping the wall!

after the zoo we split up.  boys went to do some boy stuff.  we did girl stuff.  we went to the fabric depot.  very cool.  tons of fabric to choose from.  not so great prices, but the experience was worth it.  then we went to an awesome thrift store called RED WHITE & BLUE.  amazing.  $120 later, and we tore ourselves away. 
the drive home was a quick trip.  a few VOMITING episodes from mckee, a stop at bi-mart for some gallon tin cans of nuts and we were home by 2:00! 

it's great to be home.  the boys were in heaven seeing their toys and riding their gator.  we've been playing outside ever since.  we love being home!
