farm girl gone rancher

everyone knows i'm a farm girl.  born and raised!
secretly i'd always wanted to be a cowgirl.  i wanted to ride horses and rope and be a...
yes i'll admit it...a RODEO QUEEN.
i wanted to ride a paint horse...i know i know i wanted a paint horse...i didn't know much about horses growing up...easy horse people!!!!
i wanted to ride a paint horse around the arena as fast at it would carry me and wave that silly little wave and carry the American flag and wear bright colored fringe and a cowboy hat with a crown.
well my dreams were dashed....and i got to ride a TRACTOR.
i was raised on a large row crop farm.  potatoes, corn, sugar beets, wheat, onions!!!!  tractors and more tractors and more tractors.  it was a great life.
when i married glen, my childhood dreams came true.  i married a cowboy...so doesn't that make me a cowgirl.  well i'm still working on the riding and roping part!  and i'm not sure i'll ever be a rodeo queen, or own a paint horse...but i'm a rancher's wife and that's good enough for me.
one part of ranching i never knew as a farm girl is HAYING!  we never had alfalfa.  and if we did, the neighbors came and "HAYED" it.
this last week i got to be a true ranchers wife and haul hay!  in a hot ford pickup in the hot weather i got to haul hay.
DREAM COME TRUE!

I think you are the cutest ranchers wife ever. You are probably the cutest "hay hauler" ever too! I sure never looked that sexy when I was hauling hay!!! You could paint the pickup like a paint horse and just wave at all the bales... maybe that would make you feel like a rodeo queen!!
