he's obsessed with toy story. aunt terry has a big woody doll and he loves it. so i thought this would totally do the trick.
well i bought the woody back in june. i've been telling him this since JUNE! and still no interest what so ever.
well a few days ago he really wanted to wear underwear and get his woody doll!
so on went the underwear. and out came the pee. he peed his pants within 20 minutes.
well when he peed his pants he told me, "see mom, i'm a big kid, now i can get my big woody."
i explained to him that to get the big woody he had to pee and poop in the toilet, not on the floor and in his underwear.
i told him to go get a new pair of underwear.
well he disappeared for a while, and then i heard in a very loud and triumphant cry,
"MOM, i pooped in the toilet!"
i raced to the bathroom, thinking i would find poop not in the toilet, but on the floor...(i know i need to have more faith in vince) but to my surprise, he had in fact landed it all in the toilet.
he was THRILLED!
and his next words..."now i get my big woody doll!!!!"
so glen and i debated what to do.....so we came up with the idea (because we thought he needed some type of reward) he could play with the woody for a while, then we'd put it away.
when he used the toilet again, he could have the woody back again.
we explained this to vince....he said YEA!
so he played with the woody and was in heaven!
after about 30 minutes we had to leave for a BBQ, so we man-handled the woody away from vince and he went into hiding. (woody went into hiding)
well since that day (that i thought would be the beginning of no more diapers for vince)
he has NOT wanted to wear underwear and use the toilet at all. not at all.
what the heck?
weird kid, i'm tellin ya.
so woody is no longer to be seen at the adams household. i'm hoping he shows his face again REAL REAL soon!
