so vince had a birthday...and a birthday it was. we had a "mustache" birthday bash!!!!
we had a little family party that morning. we had a donut tower to celebrate breakfast. donuts and chocolate milk was the breakfast of the day. he opened his presents too!
all he wanted was a slingshot for his birthday. thank heavens for big r.
he wasn't sure what these were.
mckee just liked the donuts.
no we didn't party the night before...it was an early morning...glen had leave early.
after breakfast we went out to try out the "bubble sword" as vince calls it.
bear and esther came over for awhile to play. while we were eating lunch bear knocked over his chocolate milk. vince gasped and said, "mom, you have to take a picture of the chocolate milk...look, it's a gun."
after lunch the kids all went out to play in the puddles, left by all the rain we got!
*and yes, they all ended up wet and muddy.
that evening we had a little party!
i made some chocolate mustaches. vince and mckee tried them out before the party started.
opened some presents.
dad and grandpa adams with their mustaches. they looked good.
then we had some goodies!
i didn't make vince a cake (i know i'm a bad mother) but we had ice cream sundaes! (junk food on top of ice cream....so much better!)
but we did put vince's candles in the ice cream. i know, very classy!!!!
vince got all embarrassed when we started to sing to him. he's done that before i think!
right here he's telling me "cut it out mom"all the doman kids came over with mustaches on. it was super cute. but they all loved the chocolate mustaches.
for one of vince's gifts, our friend leeta gave vince a wine glass. last fall we were at leeta's house for dinner and vince saw her get into her cupboard to get the glasses to set the table. vince saw those wine glasses and he asked leeta if he could use one. she told him they were for parties. well she sent one over for his birthday. the kid was in heaven. he had some chocolate milk in it, and told me, "mom, this glass is perfect for parties. so it was!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY VINCE.
we sure feel lucky to have vince in our family!
