my mom sent me a bunch of apples, oranges, and grapefruit. i'm not so much a grapefruit eater...all though i love it with lots of powdered sugar. but it made me want to make this---

other than that i've just been trying to finish up some christmas projects. last night i was finishing up a stitching project and ripped off some of the extra fabric.
so here is my recipe #3
grapefruit cheeseball
given to me by my very good friend brandy fairbank-fort collins, co
this is a great little party food...super cute!
8 oz. cream cheese (cold)
1/3 c. sugar
1 TBS. grapefruit juice
1/2 tsp. pink lemonade koolaid powder
1 tsp. grapefruit zest
1/4 c. Mariani Dried Fruit (either the "island fruit" or the "pineapple tango")

1 box of Honey Maid Graham Cracker Sticks

chop dried fruit into small pieces. combine all ingredients with a fork. mash well. chill.
form into a ball and roll around in "white sparkling sugar".
serve with graham cracker sticks.
(for a party you can color the "sparkling sugar" with some food coloring)
so for christmas gifts for our neighbors and friends i was going to be a great little "baker" and make some yummy treats....but since i'm living in the real world (where there is no time) i decided against it. all that time in the kitchen that i really don't have...and then having a really messy kitchen....no way. so this is what i did.
i bought a bunch of king/big daddy candy bars and i made them cute. i love how they turned out. i used un-traditional christmas papers and ribbons.

this one is my favorite.

so our great neighbor tiz is from canada. she let us borrow this sweet jumper. it's called a jolly-jumper and they are sold everywhere in canada. vince loves it. he looks like a little irish dancer. it's the best. we want to get one...so vince and the future adams' babies can use it and become big time jumpers...so tiz is going to canada after christmas and she's going to pick one up for us...or i'll just order on off of toys r' us canada website.

so there was some randomness. take care.

Have you ever seen those slings that they put cows in if they have an injured pelvis or a hard time giving birth? Well that jumpy jumper thing kind of reminds me of those. Vince make it look way cuter though.:)
P.S I'm so glad Tiz is your neighbor and you are friends. It's such a comfort to have a friend to rely on when you are having a hard time or say...your kid chokes on an apple. Glad everything turned out alright. Poor wittle guy.
