a day of LABOR.

we had a great labor day on monday. we went up stinkin' water to check some cows with mike, richard & nancy. it was such a beautiful warm day. vince had a great time playing in the dirt, rocks, sage brush, and cow poop. by the end of the day he was so tired from all the walking he did. it was a great time. here are a few pictures.

my weekend trip to my mom's house was a very successful one. she helped me can some more peaches and we canned 3 batches of sweet and sour sauce {thanks carla for the recipe...so easy and so so yummy!} we did some shopping and i got a pair of winter boots and a cute jacket at costco. we got to visit with some family and go to a pool party!! we were glad when glen got home from hunting in lagrande on sunday! it was nice to be a family again.

today i'm canning carrots. nancy gave me some from her garden so i'm trying it out. a neighbor gave me her pressure cooker to do it. we'll see how they turn out. i'm not really a carrot fan but i thought i'd try a few jars.
