so we've had a fight on our hands for quite some time. vince owns and wears the green top john deere boots. he's worn them for awhile. last night we had dinner with our friends from texas and their son was wearing the blue top ariats (REAL cowboy boots) in vince's world. so he really wanted to try them on. i mean really really try them on. like he wanted to try them on so bad he tried removing the boots from the boys feet, he asked the boy's mother, "can i please try on his boots?" and then he asked me every 2.6 seconds, "please can i try on those boots?" well the boy's mother was kind enough to let vince try them on. i knew that when these beautiful, blue, "REAL" cowboy boots went on vince's feet, they would be very tough to get off, i told vince he could wear them until the buzzer went off. (he does a good job with timers....i don't know why) so i set the timer for 2 minutes...i know i'm a mean mom but the owner of the boots was having a rough time in the corner because his mom made him share. so the boots went on and boy you woulda thought it was christmas. he was the happiest kid in the house. he danced around and asked, "how do i look?" he was in heaven. and 2 minutes later you woulda thought he was in hell. he first told me, "i didn't hear the buzzer...it didn't go off." tricky little boy!!!! so i brought him close to the oven to hear the buzzer....and he heard the buzzer and then tried running from me. ha ha for him, i had my running shoes on and i cought him quick enough. so i pried the boots off his little deserving feet and the tears came. he told me through tears, "i need those boots, those are REAL cowboy boots." so it was a traumatic evening for vince....he still doesn't believe that his john deere cowboy boots are REAL, so i'll continue to convince him.

That is a funny story! He is on the fast track to cowboy for sure.
You tell him - if he earns half the money for the "real cowboy boots" you'll pay the rest . . .cuz that's how much more they cost!! The John Deer brand wear well for half the cost!!
Tell him "real" cowboy is in your heart . . . not on your feet!
