DAY 2

MOAB, UTAH to BIG SPRING, TEXAS

So we left Moab in the Dark, again not getting to see anything!!  bummer!  But we then passed through Cortez, Colorado and then into New Mexico, and then FINALLY into TEXAS!  (My "Welcome to Colorado" and "Welcome to Texas" sign pictures are from GOOGLE...it was DARK when we entered these states.  The second day was a LONG day.  We lost another hour...now we are on CENTRAL TIME!  We got to Tara's parents house around 9 p.m. so we actually made decent time!  We drove forever on the original ROUTE 66...and it was the most boring drive ever!  Although we did drive through LINCOLN, NEW MEXCIO hoping to see any sign of BILLY THE KID...but we did not.  We passed through ROSWELL, NEW MEXCIO hoping to see a UFO..but no luck either!  We made a stop in Tatum, New Mexico and dropped off a HORSE at Tara's Uncle and Aunt's house.  From Tatum, NM to Texas we went.  It's crazy passing all the oil field pumps, the air is consumed with the RAW oil, smell....but I'm told that is the smell of MONEY!!!!!  ALL in ALL, I was so glad to make it!
